This extraordinary specimen is a great one to have in any collection. In simple terms a pseudomorph is a crystal consisting of one mineral but having the form of another. More scientifically, it is a mineral formed by chemical or structural change of another substance, though retaining its original external shape. In this case this is Carnelian but is in the crystal formation on Aragonite.
