Amethyst/Smoky Quartz, Chevron Crystal (Tumbled)

Chevron Amethyst is named because of it’s ‘chevron’ shaped markings, created when the crystals were growing. Some growth stages were white quartz while others were purple. This is likely to be dependant on the iron content in the vicinity at the time. These pieces are tumbled crystals, that are still very much in their crystal form but smooth. Some are decidedly amethyst, others are darker and more like smoky Quartz. All are very interesting.
