This is a reptile, preserved on its original rock matrix.  It is an extinct genus of diapsid reptile and a member of the Tangasauridae family, a group of “younginiform” diapsids. It is considered a stem-saurian neodiapsid. It is thought to have lived in a nearshore or riverbank (riparian) environment. Thadeosaurus is generally considered to have been a swift-running, terrestrial, or semi-aquatic animal with long legs.
Country of origin: Lower Sakamena Formation of the Morondava Basin, Madagascar
