How long have The Crystal People been operating?
- We've been selling crystals since 1994. My how time flies! We opened out first store, in Christchurch, in 2008. Our second store, in Petone, opened in 2009, and our third store, in Kilbirnie, in 2011.
Can anyone buy from The Crystal People?
- Yes, we sell to both retail and wholesale customers. Contact us if you'd like to buy wholesale (minimum order applies).
You don't need to have an account to buy from us - it will be created automatically when you place your first order.

Which crystal will I receive?
- The pictures that you see on the product pages are typical of the quality of the crystals available, but is not the exact crystal that you will be receiving (unless specified). Since each crystal is unique, the sizing and quality do vary, but we take lots of time to sort our crystals and to represent the quality and size accurately. We treat our online customers as we would those in our shop - so you always receive the best piece we have available.
Do you label all of your crystals?
- We place each crystal or stone carefully in a bag with a label, so when they arrive to you, you'll know which is which.
What is your returns policy?
- Damaged stock can be returned for a refund or exchange. If you're not satisfied with your crystals, you can return them and we will exchange them for you.
Do you take credit cards?
- Yes, we accept both VISA and Mastercard payments.
How does Internet Banking work?
- It's easy, and very safe. Once your order has been entered we will email you our bank account details. You can then log into your bank's online banking website and transfer the funds to our account. We will confirm by email when your payment appears in our account.
How much is freight?
- Most small parcels can be sent overnight, to any urban address for $4.50. RD Delivery is $8.50. Larger items may incur higher shipping charges.
Do you ship to PO Boxes?
- No sorry, we only ship to physical addresses.
Do you ship outside of New Zealand?
- Yes, we can ship anywhere in the world. Contact us for pricing.
How long do items stay in my shopping cart?
- After placing your first order, you'll automatically have an account setup with your own login. Once logged in, items in your Shopping Cart will stay there for the next time you visit. All you have to do is add products to your shopping cart while logged into your account. Our system will save those items into your personal account and they will still be there the next time that you log in.
I've forgotten my password - can you tell me what it is?
- We can't actually see your password (it's encrypted). Please use the forgotten password page to reset it. You can then login and change it to a new one of your choice by clicking on "my account".
I can't checkout my order - do you know why?
- There could be several reasons this might happen, but to use this site you must have cookies enabled and you should also have Javascript enabled. You could also try deleting all cookies for crystalpeople.co.nz in your browser. If you continue to have problems please email us so we can look into it further.
Is there a Rock and Mineral Club in Christchurch?
